Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive sweating beyond what is necessary for body temperature regulation. It can be classified into two types: primary and secondary. Primary hyperhidrosis is caused by overactive sweat glands due to faulty nerve signals, commonly affecting the palms, soles, underarms, and face. Secondary hyperhidrosis results from underlying medical conditions or medications, leading to widespread sweating. Conditions such as diabetes, menopause, thyroid issues, certain cancers, nervous system disorders, and infections can cause secondary hyperhidrosis. The main symptom of hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating without external triggers like heat, exercise, anxiety, or stress. This sweating typically affects the hands, feet, underarms, or face and occurs at least once a week while awake. Other symptoms may include skin infections and maceration, which is the softening and breakdown of the skin due to prolonged moisture exposure. Hyperhidrosis can also lead to social isolation and embarrassment, impacting daily activities.
Odaban Spray contains 20% aluminum chloride in a silicone and pure alcohol base. It works by forming poral “plugs” made of aluminum and skin proteins, which prevent excessive sweating without stopping the sweat glands from functioning. This aluminum/protein complex is insoluble, ensuring no aluminum absorption into the bloodstream, thus providing effective and safe protection.
Odaban Spray is easy to use and should be applied at bedtime when the body is relaxed. Ensure the skin is completely dry before application to avoid irritation; a hairdryer or talcum powder can help achieve this. Apply the spray sparingly—one spray is usually sufficient. Women and individuals with sensitive skin should apply the spray indirectly using a cotton wool pad.
Odaban Spray is suitable for all skin types and can be used on various body areas. However, avoid applying it to large skin areas, mucous membranes, or broken skin. While it is specially formulated for those with excessive perspiration, anyone seeking long-lasting protection can benefit from Odaban Spray.
Most users achieve desired protection within a few applications. Initially, nightly applications may be necessary until the problem is resolved. Once effective protection is attained, gradually reduce the number of weekly applications. The frequency of use varies among individuals, so adjust the application rate and amount to maintain optimal protection.

Using Odaban Spray is simple. The product must only be applied at bedtime, when relaxed. It is very important the skin is perfectly dry before application, as Odaban will react with moisture to cause skin irritation. Use a hairdryer or a little talcum powder to dry the skin prior to application and afterwards in the event of over application.
Odaban Spray must be applied sparingly; one spray is usually sufficient. Women and those with sensitive skins should always apply Odaban Spray indirectly with a cotton wool pad. When applying to the underarms, apply only to the central armpit area (3 to 4cms diameter) where most of the sweat glands are located. The skin must be washed the following morning; other products are unnecessary but can then be applied without interaction.
Men’s skin is generally thicker than women’s and the presence of underarm hair will also help protect their skin from over-application with Odaban Spray. One or two sprays can therefore be applied (from about 10cms) directly to the central armpit area. Any excess application can be absorbed with a tissue.
